Dear Prayer Warriors,

Can you believe it is June already! Lord willing, tomorrow is my 4th chemo treatment. After some great help from my oncologist's billing department, it appears that the diagnosis code really is the only problem in getting my insurance to pay the hospital bill. Now we need to pray that the hospital will change the code and resubmit the bill. Nikki at the billing office told me of another instance, which she considers a miracle, in which the hospital wrote a letter stating that they do not provide as a certain part of my chemo. That letter was an important part in order to get MediCal to pay for that part of my treatment. I shared with her that many people are praying for me and that God is at work. Nikki said she believes God has power and can work miracles. She attends Calvary Chapel where they preach the Word of God and was happy to know that we would pray for her, too.

I finally had the MRI this morning and enjoyed another small miracle in that the technician was able to relocate the intravenous needle after losing the blood flow so she could do the test without having to find another of my small veins. This has happened only one other time in her many years of experience. By waiting a couple of hours, I was able to pick up a copy of the films and the doctor's evaluation of the MRI for my appointment with the surgeon next Monday, June 7. The evaluation states that the tumor has shrunk from 4.6 cm to 2.6 cm. That is proof of the Lord answering our prayers! Praise Him!

This weekend I enjoyed watching the video from Peru, especially my deaf friends, that was made at Easter-time. They, too, assured me of their love and prayers. The Donaldsons have heard from the Patton family that Pastor Abraham has been visiting them and receiving encouragement from them. Let's keep praying for him and the deaf church. Also, Jennifer Kalnbach is planning to go to Iquitos for a month to help at the school, plan a VBS for the deaf children, and to help with projects at the school as funds allow. If you are interested in helping out or learning more, her email address is "JKALNBACH@hotmail.com" So she will read your email, put something about Efata Baptist Church in the subject line.

I'm still waiting to hear how the Amazon missionary conference went.

Again, thank you for your faithfulness in prayer. Keep looking up!

With love in Christ,
Lynn Porter
