Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings from Morro Bay, California! No, I haven't moved, but I have
started traveling to visit some of you and to share with you in person what
the Lord has done in my life and ministry in the past five years. Monday I
came up to my Aunt Jean's house to get some of my furlough things in
preparation for the missions conference I will be taking part in at First
Baptist Church of Santa Maria, March 16 through 20, today through Sunday.
The Lord has blessed me above measure this past month since I last wrote.
While in Pennsylvania, I received a lot of help in preparing a visual report
of this past term. It was a good time of encouragement, too, as I enjoyed
fellowship with Aunt Fran Weddle, Carol Bibighaus, and others. We did have
some small winter storms pass through, just enough to make it beautiful but
not enough to keep us away from the office.
After getting home to California, the Lord led us to a car at the right
price and in very good condition, a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina with only 62,000
miles on it. Daniel at the ABWE office was kind enough to help me by
designing a prayer card, which Walmart printed at a rolled back price. Ken,
a believer, printed address cards for me for free. Praise the Lord for His
many blessings!
On the health side of things, I have had an MRI and a mammogram, and have
already received a letter that the MRI shows "no abnormalities." Again,
praise the Lord! My appointment with the doctor is on March 25.
Thank you for your prayers. Please pray for me as I have many opportunities
to share in the missions conference, that I will say the things God wants me
to say.
May the Lord bless you all! Keep looking up!
In Christian love,
Lynn Porter
