Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings in our Savior's name. He is all power and all wisdom. I am
still learning to wait on Him and let Him work things out. Yesterday I
received a bill from the hospital for my first session of chemotherapy, for
which they said the insurance denied payment. I had to wait for this
morning to call my insurance back East. According to the lady I spoke to,
the problem is in a diagnostic code error, which needs to be corrected and
the claim resubmitted. I am still waiting to hear back that the problem has
indeed been solved.
Tomorrow I am scheduled for an MRI, which is also a part of the process
for restaging the cancer tumor. No word yet on the sonagram. In the
meantime, chemo session number 4 is coming up next Wednesday. Please pray
for peace in letting the Lord work out the details.
Yesterday I had opportunity to take part in a support group that meets
twice a month. Please pray that I will have opportunity to minister to
these ladies.
The only word from Peru is that this weekend is a river missions
conference to be held in Pevas and an expected attendance of 500. New
missionaries, Patrick and Gina Cassidy, and their 4 children are traveling
there to take part. This is their maiden voyage in their river launch,
"Emmanuel," which formerly belonged to Jim and Roni Bowers. Please pray for
safety and spiritual victories in this conference. Peruvian believers will
be challenged to reach their own people for Christ. As far as I know, there
will not be any involvement of the deaf in the conference.
To God be the glory! Keep looking up!
With love in Christ,
Lynn Porter
