Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings from the Peruvian Amazon jungle! It is great to be home and involved in the deaf ministry here. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I have a lot for which to praise God.
PRAISES
- • The Lord is Good and All-Sufficient for my needs and desires
- • My health continues to be good
- • Special times with my family and others
- • A good trip back to Peru
- • Lee Johnson, BIMI missionary to the deaf in Chiclayo, Peru, has agreed to be our special speaker for the January mission trip
- • Darlene Hull did a good job taking care of things while I was gone
- • My little home continues to a place of refuge and ministry after living here ten years.
Right now the Bible institute is having a retreat. They have about three weeks of class remaining.
Efata school for the deaf has four weeks of class remaining. Pray we will be able to finish well. The church attendance is a little low these days due in part to the election campaign for local authorities. Election Day is tomorrow. Pray for wisdom in drawing the deaf back to Efata and for teaching them to trust in the Lord for the supply of their needs. Certain Christians are running for office, and the deaf hope they’ll get jobs if they’ll vote for them.
There is still a lot of work to do for the December weddings and to get ready for the January mission trip. Thank you for keeping us before God’s throne of grace. We’ll meet you there! Keep looking up!
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
