Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings! This is just a quick note as I am getting ready to leave for
Bethel Baptist Church in Torrance. They are having a missions emphasis
weekend, and I am feeling well enough to go up and take part in it. Praise
the Lord! Please pray that I will be a blessing in sharing my testimony and
teaching a Sunday School class.
This coming week I have several medical appointments. They are removing my
porta-cath Tuesday morning. Pray they'll be able to find a good vein on my
left arm for bloodwork and anesthesia. That afternoon I have a post-op
appointment with Dr. Humber. Wed. and following, I will be meeting with the
radiologists to get ready for the radiation treatment. Thank you for
praying.
Things are going okay with Efata Baptist Church for the deaf. Please keep
them in your prayers. My colleagues, Patrick and Gina Cassidy, have been
served papers by a judge on case of a car accident they had several months
ago, which they thought was resolved. Pray that the Lord will give them
peace and wisdom in dealing with the judicial system of Peru. Right now
they was prohibited from leaving Iquitos, which means they will not be able
to go out on the Amazon River and do their ministry. Pray!!
Must go. Keep looking up!
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
